According to Nikkei, which is a Japanese publication site, Nintendo is looking to get rid of its existing stock of Wii U consoles.
This is somewhat surprising considering their flagship game, Zelda, has yet to release for the system. While the consoles themselves have yet to cease production, many of the peripheral components have, with plans to include the system.
Nintendo hasn’t remarked on the report, but has previously promised more information on their next system the NX this year. Whether that means a 2016 release date or not, we’ll at least know what the darn thing is.
