Fallout 4 DLC Detailed, Season Pass Being Expanded

After a long wait, we finally know what the devs over at Bethesda have been working on. According to an official Bethesda news update, the Season Pass is being expanded upon, and will now feature more than $60 worth of downloadable content. To reflect these new plans, the price for the pass is being raised from $29.99 USD to $49.99 USD.

But not to worry! If you already own the Season Pass you’ll get access to all of the forthcoming DLC for no extra charge. In fact, anyone who purchases the Season Pass before March 1st will get the same benefit! So don’t put off buying the pass and save yourself twenty bucks.

As for what the DLC will contain, here’s a list based on what the official news update details:

Automatron

The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!”

Far Harbor

Price: $24.99 USD
Release: May 2016

“A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.”

In addition to those three packs releasing (if they stick to the announced schedule) once every month, there will be even more DLC forthcoming. If you add up the value of the announced content, it equals $40. So that means, based on what the news post says, they have an additional $20+ worth of new and exciting content still in the works. As someone whose time with the game is beginning to dwindle, I can say that this news comes at the perfect time. The next few months are going to be an atomic blast.
