The rating is given after the 30 seconds are up! The reviews are done live on the podcast (there is no pre-planning, it’s all in-the-moment) to ensure maximum hilarity and stress. The following entry is a direct speech-to-text translation of the podcast segment.
Kyle Reviews Flashback: The Quest For Identity
“So the story, you play as a guy, and it’s like a future thing and there’s these lizards that are infecting people and it’s like a secret government society and you gotta try and stop ‘em and figure out what’s going on. Uhhhh…graphics, it’s li- It’s actually really good graphics for the Sega Genesis, they had really good animation models and everything, but at the end of the day, uhh, it’s Sega Genesis and so the color scheme is all out of wack and so it looks kinda funky. Um, the…gameplay, it had really really weird, uh…motion, like movement, like back and forth, there was a lot of, like, extended animations which made the platforming difficult and made it not fun to play, and the whole second half of the game is like, a text simulator, where you’re talking to people and it gets really annoying. So, uh, rating I’m gonna give it a 6.5 out of 10.”
